Insurance Company Seeks Reimbursement of Excess Costs Paid to Asbestos Defendant

WICHITA, Kan. - Ace Property & Casualty Insurance Co. has filed a declaratory judgment action against a manufacturer of asbestos-containing boilers, claiming that it has paid more in asbestos defense and indemnity costs than it was required to by a cost-sharing agreement. Ace Property & Casualty Insurance Co., et al. v. Superior Boiler Works, No. 05-1301 (D. Kan.).

The declaratory judgment action was filed Sept. 30 in the U.S. District Court for the District of Kansas.
