BEAUMONT, Texas -- A Texas appellate court has granted a writ filed by an insurance company, ruling that some of the discovery requests initiated by a construction company in a lawsuit against the insurer were overly broad. In re: TIG Insurance Co., No. 09-05-253 (Texas Ct. App., 9th Dist.).
In the Aug. 11 opinion by the 9th District Court of Appeals, the court limited the scope of discovery in the underlying dispute to the years during which TIG Insurance issued a policy to the construction company.
