DANVILLE, Ill. -- The Illinois Manufacturers' Association has filed an amicus curiae brief in the appeal of an asbestos plaintiffs verdict, arguing that the jury deciding the case was 'kept in the dark' about the plaintiff's other possible asbestos exposures. Nolan, et al. v. Weil-McLain, No. 4-05-0328 (Ill. App. Ct., 4th Dist.).
In the July 21 brief filed in the Illinois 4th District Appellate Court, the Illinois Manufacturers' Association claims that scientific advancements allows defendants to present evidence that their products did not produce a plaintiff's alleged condition.
