New Jersey Jury Awards $19 Million in Pulmonary Fibrosis Case

NEW BRUNSWICK, N.J. -- A jury has awarded $19.17 million to the surviving members of a former railroad worker who claimed his pulmonary fibrosis was caused by exposure to a mixture of asbestos, welding fumes and silica. Fuccilli, et al. v. Central Railroad, et al., No. n/a (N.J. Super. Ct., Middlesex Cty.).
The Middlesex County Superior Court jury reached its decision on Aug. 10 after a five-week trial before Judge Ann McCormick.
