Jury Finds for DuPont in Mesothelioma Lawsuit

DALLAS -- A jury has found for DuPont at the conclusion of a mesothelioma trial, rejecting the plaintiffs' assertion that DuPont was negligent in warning its workers of asbestos dangers. Raeth v. E.I. DuPont de Nemours and Company, No. 02-10802-A, (Texas 14th Dist. Ct., Dallas Cty.).
The jury in the 14th District Court for Dallas County reached the verdict on July 20. Judge Mary L. Murphy oversaw the proceedings.
The plaintiffs contended during trial that decedent Lawrence Leeroy Berry developed mesothelioma as a result of exposure to asbestos at a DuPont facility. Representatives of Berry's estate brought claims against DuPont, …
