Jurors Find for Metalclad Insulation in Asbestosis Lawsuit

SAN FRANCISCO -- After four days of deliberation, a jury has found that Metalclad Insulation Corp. was not responsible for a plaintiff's asbestosis and pleural plaques. Richard Pollard v. Metalclad Insulation, No. 418480 (Calif. Super. Ct., San Francisco Cty.).
The San Francisco County Superior Court jury reached the verdict on July 28, after four weeks of trial before Judge Donald Mitchell.
Plaintiff Richard Pollard alleged that Metalclad Insulation Corp. was responsible for exposing him to asbestos, causing his asbestosis and pleural plaques.
