Hearing on Bulk Supplier Summary Judgment Motion Reset

HOUSTON -- A Texas asbestos MDL hearing scheduled to address Union Carbide's summary judgment motion made on the ground that it owes no duty to the plaintiffs based on its role as a bulk supplier was held on July 29, sources told HarrisMartin Publishing. In re: MDL Asbestos Litigation, No. 2004-03964 (Texas 11th Jud. Dist. Ct., Harris Cty.).

Judge Mark Davidson of the 11th Judicial District Court for Harris County took the motion under advisement and was expected to issue a ruling within two weeks of the hearing, sources said.
