Defense Verdict Returned in Pennsylvania Lung Cancer Case

PHILADELPHIA - A Philadelphia jury has entered a defense verdict in an asbestos-relate lung cancer case filed by an ex-railroad worker. Smith v. A.P. Green Industries Inc., No. 99-90900927 (Pa. Comm. Pls., Philadelphia Cty.).

According to sources, the June 15 verdict in favor of McCord Gaskets Corp. and Griffin Wheel Co. came after nearly two weeks of trial before Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas Judge Mark I. Bernstein.
