Sen. Specter to Meet with Republican Committee Members Tuesday Regarding Asbestos Bill




WASHINGTON, D.C. -- Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Sen. Arlen Specter (R.Pa.) is scheduled to meet with Republican committee members Tuesday to discuss any remaining concerns they may have with the Fairness in Asbestos Injury Resolution Act, sources told HarrisMartin Publishing.

Sources indicated that the bill could be formally introduced as early as Wednesday.

While Sen. Specter remains optimistic about his latest asbestos compensation bill proposal, many senators have opposed key provisions in the bill.
