Judge Dismisses Claims Against Harcros Chemicals

LOS ANGELES -- A federal judge has issued an order dismissing Harcros Chemicals from a lawsuit in which a California wallboard and texturing company contends that Harcros misrepresented and concealed safety concerns when distributing asbestos-containing products. Hamilton Materials v. Union Carbide, et al., No. 04-8389 (C.D. Calif.).

The March 21 order issued by the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California granted Harcros' motion to dismiss based on the ground that the claims against the company were time-barred.
