Jury Awards More Than $8.6 Million in Navy Exposure Case




SAN FRANCISCO -- Jurors have awarded more than $8 million to plaintiffs in a living mesothelioma lawsuit, in which the former mechanist claimed to have been exposed to asbestos on U.S. Navy ships. Cadlo, et al. v. John Crane, et al., No. 412325 (Calif. Super. Ct., San Francisco Cty.).

Jurors in the California Superior Court for San Francisco County returned the verdict against John Crane and Metalclad Insulation Corp. on March 22, after six weeks of trial before Judge John J. Conway.
