CHICAGO - An Illinois appeals court has upheld a ruling that the state's construction statute of repose operated to bar the asbestos-related claims of a pipefitter, finding no evidence that the contractors for which he worked were in the business of doing anything other than installing the asbestos-containing products in question. King v. Paul J. Krez Co., et al., No. 1-00-1584 (Ill. App. Ct., 1st Dist.).
