New England Insulation Co. Seeks Insurance Coverage for Underlying Asbestos Claims

BOSTON -- An insulation company named in numerous asbestos lawsuits, has sued St. Paul Travelers Companies, claiming the insurer owes it more than $100,000 in insurance coverage for the underlying claims. New England Insulation Co. v. The St. Paul Travelers Companies, Inc., No. 04-12384 (D. Mass.).
The lawsuit, filed Nov. 10 in the U.S. District Court for the District of Massachusetts, also seeks a determination of whether the underlying asbestos claims are covered under product or non-product provisions in the insurance liability policies purchased by New England Insulation.
