Missouri Jury Reaches Defense Verdict at Conclusion of Asbestos Trial

HARRISONVILLE, Mo. –– A Missouri jury has reached a defense verdict for Athene Annuity & Life Assurance Co. at the conclusion of an asbestos personal injury trial, contending that the defendant –– the owner of the building at which the alleged exposure occurred –– was not liable for the plaintiff’s injuries.

The Missouri Circuit Court, Cass County, jury reached the verdict on Oct. 9 after a nearly two-week trial. Hon. Marty Seaton presided over the trial, which began on Sept. 25.
