JACKSON, Miss. - Several asbestos defendants have sued Big Tobacco in Mississippi, attempting to recoup money they've paid over the past three decades to compensate workers with injuries allegedly caused by asbestos exposure. Combustion Engineering, Inc, et al., v. RJR Reynolds, et al., No. 2000-615, 2000-616, 2000-617, 2000-618, No. 2000-628, No. 2000-629 (Miss. Cir. Ct., Jackson Cty.).
