SAN FRANCISCO - A California appeals court has affirmed a verdict for a defendant in an asbestos case that claimed it could not be held responsible for the injuries alleged by the plaintiff because the asbestos contained in its product was encapsulated. Wells v. Rockwell Automation, Inc., No. A100944 (Calif. Ct. App., 1st Dist.).
