Oregon Jury Awards Flooring Installer Nearly $700,000 in Mesothelioma Case

PORTLAND, Ore. - An Oregon jury has awarded nearly $700,000 to a former shipyard worker and flooring installer who developed malignant mesothelioma as a result of his exposure to asbestos. Nagl v. Aeronca, Inc., et al., No. 02-04-04227 (Ore. Cir. Ct., Multnomah Cty.).
The Multnomah County Circuit Court jury returned the verdict June 14 against Dowman Products, Inc., a manufacturer of an asbestos-containing product called Fix-All. Plaintiff Morris Nagl alleged that his exposure to Fix-All caused his asbestos-related disease.
