MINNEOLA, N.Y. - A New York Supreme Court judge has refused two defendants' requests to subpoena employment records from a college professor and medical expert who testifies in asbestos cases. Lechner v. AC&S, et al., No. 2411/2002 (N.Y. Sup. Ct., Nassau Cty.).
In a decision issued Feb. 27, but released by the Nassau County Supreme Court on June 4, the presiding judge denied a motion by DaimlerChrysler Corp. and Ford Motor Co. for an order directing the issuance of a subpoena for Brown University, where expert David Egilman, M.D., is employed.
