PORTLAND, Ore. - An Oregon appeals court has let stand a no-liability verdict for a defendant in an asbestos case after plaintiffs claimed that some of the jurors were 'bullied' into rendering their votes. Hill v. Lagrand Industrial Supply Co., No. 9905-05676; A111301 (Ore. Ct. App.).

The decision to affirm the verdict was issued June 9 by the Oregon Court of Appeals, which held that because none of the jurors who alleged misconduct were ever at risk of physical violence that would have risen to a level criminal obstruction of justice, the alleged coercion by fellow jurors does not warrant …
