Jury Returns Verdict for Defendants in California Lung Cancer Case

LOS ANGELES - Jurors returned a defense verdict June 16 in a California case where the plaintiff alleged that he developed lung cancer as a result of exposure to asbestos. Escamilla v. American Standard, Inc., et al., No. 303900 (Calif. Super. Ct., Los Angeles Cty.).
The jury found in favor of three defendants - Kelly-Moore Paint Co., Kaiser Gypsum Co., Inc. and Viking Pump - that remained in the trial when it went to verdict.
