Missouri Appeals Court: Employee Who Quit Because of Asbestos Concerns May Receive Benefits

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - A Missouri appeals court has affirmed the Labor and Industrial Relations Commission's decision that a factory's former employee who voluntarily quit her job was eligible for unemployment benefits, because her concern over possible asbestos exposure represented good cause attributable to her work or to her employer. Baby-Tenda Corp. v. Stacey Marie Hedrick, et al., No. WD 59050 (Mo. Ct. App., Western Dist.).
