$5.25 Million Awarded to Family of Mesothelioma Victim

AUSTIN, Texas - A Texas jury has awarded $5.25 million to a man who died after developing mesothelioma, which he had alleged was related to asbestos exposure. Harrison v. ACandS Inc., No. 97-08115 (Texas Dist. Ct., Travis Cty.).
The award, the second to a plaintiff represented by Dallas-based Law Firm Waters & Kraus in less than a week, included $3 million in punitive damages and $2.25 million in compensatory damages.
