SAN FRANCISCO - A California jury returned a verdict on March 30 for defendant Kelly-Moore in an asbestos case filed by the surviving daughter of a 35-year-old man who allegedly developed peritoneal mesothelioma from exposure to asbestos brought home on his father's work clothes. Wise v. Kelly-Moore Paint Co., et al., No. 310164 (Calif. Super. Ct., San Francisco Cty.).
The San Francisco Superior Court jury unanimously held that Kelly-Moore's asbestos-containing joint compound product was not defective by design or by failure to warn Michael Wise of dangers associated with the product.
