N.Y. Court Denies Summary Judgment Motions by Valve, Pump Defendants in Asbestos Case

NEW YORK –– A New York trial court has declined to award summary judgment to two defendants in an asbestos action, concluding that conflicting evidence had been submitted and a “reasonable juror could determine that plaintiff was exposed to asbestos-containing” products manufactured by either defendant.

The New York Supreme Court for New York County denied both motions for summary judgment in separate Aug. 12 orders.
