Environmental Group Releases Asbestos Report, Says 10,000 Americans Will Die Each Year from Asbestos-Related Illnesses

Asbestos can be blamed for nearly 43,000 American deaths since 1979, and approximately 100,000 more will die from several asbestos-related diseases over the next decade.
That according to a report issued earlier this month by The Environmental Working Group (EWG) Action Fund, based in Washington, D.C. The Report, titled 'Asbestos: Think Again,' is a review on what EWG calls the Asbestos Epidemic in America. The report had its origins in dozens of EWG investigations and projects on toxic substance exposure, control and regulation.
