Texas Jury Awards $5.2 Million in Insulator's Mesothelioma Case

EL PASO, Texas - A jury in Texas has awarded more than $5 million to the family of a former insulator who developed mesothelioma after years of exposure to asbestos at a Texas refinery. Ytuarte v. Quigley Co., No. 2003-0573 (Texas Dist. Ct., El Paso Cty.).
The El Paso County jury returned the $5.2 million verdict on Feb. 24, finding Pfizer-subsidiary, Quigley Co., liable for the injury and subsequent death of Luis Ytuarte.
