Filing of Owens Corning Reorganization Plan Again Put on Hold




WILMINGTON, Del. - The much-anticipated reorganization plan of bankrupt asbestos defendant Owens Corning will not be filed before its most recent period of exclusivity has expired, the company has reported. In re: Owens Corning, et al., No. 00-03837 (Del. Bankr.).

By order of U.S. Bankruptcy Judge Mary F. Walrath filed Jan. 17, the plan was scheduled to be entered Aug. 2 in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware. The Jan. 17 order under 11 U.S.C. Section 1121(d) extended the exclusive periods during which the debtors could file, and begin solicitation of approvals for, its reorganization plan.
