More Than $2 Million Awarded to Families in Lung Cancer Case




SAN FRANCISCO - A jury in California has awarded more than $2 million to the families of two men who died after being diagnosed with lung cancer allegedly caused by their exposure to asbestos. Grahn v. Abex Corp., No. SCV-966531 (Calif. Super. Ct., San Francisco Cty.).

The San Francisco County Superior Court jury reached the verdict July 19, finding that the two men, Robert Grahn and Claude Reilly, were negligently exposed to asbestos as they worked at various locations in California.

Defendants remaining at trial included Exxon Corp., Dillingham Construction and Cutler-Hammer Corp. The cases were consolidated for trial in …
