RALEIGH, N.C.-A North Carolina Court of Appeals recently affirmed a Workers' Compensation Committee's decision to award $60,000 to a man who developed asbestosis and colon cancer as a result of occupational exposure to asbestos, finding that the amount was adequate since the injuries involved three vital organs.
