Ill. Circuit Court Awards $2.3 Million Verdict to Pipefitter's Widow

DANVILLE, Ill.-An Illinois state court jury has awarded more than $2 million to the widow of a former pipefitter who died from an asbestos-related disease, delivering what sources say is the first verdict against defendant Weil-McLain in an asbestos-related action. Sally Nolan, Executrix of Clarence Nolan v. Weil-McLain No. 01-L117 (Ill. Cir., Vermillion Cty.)
