International Update on Mesothelioma and Role of SV40 Planned for April in Chicago

icNendicext month, scientists from nearly a dozen countries will meet in Chicago to update recent findings with regard to simian virus 40 (SV40) and its association with mesothelioma and certain bone and brain cancers.

photo-1The conference, titled Malignant Mesothelioma - Therapeutic Options and Role of SV40: An Update, follows the publication of several studies aimed at better understanding the role SV40 plays in the pathogenesis of such cancers as mesothelioma, which is generally attributed to asbestos exposure.

Featured during the two-day event held April 20-21 at the University of Chicago's Gleacher Center will be presentations by some 60 leading researchers, …
