Four Defendants Get Verdicts in Indirect Asbestos Exposure Case

FORT WORTH, Texas - A Texas jury has refused to award damages to a plaintiff who claimed that he developed peritoneal mesothelioma as a result of his exposure to asbestos that his father carried home on his work clothes. Keefe v. American Standard, Inc., et al., No. 96-195140-02 (Texas Dist. Ct., Tarrant Cty.).
The Tarrant County District Court jury returned the verdict Feb. 2 in favor of four defendants, who maintained that dust from their products did not cause plaintiff Charles Keefe's mesothelioma.
