ROCHESTER, N.Y. - A judge overseeing a case alleging exposure to asbestos-containing friction products has denied two motions in limine that would have precluded plaintiffs from introducing into evidence any information related to workers' compensation claims or trade organizations with which the defendants may have been associated. Polito v. Anchor Packing Company, et al., No. 01/008216 (N.Y. Sup. Ct., Monroe Cty.).
Monroe County Supreme Court Justice Raymond E. Cornelius denied both motions in a ruling issued Nov. 13, but commented that plaintiffs must establish a foundation for introducing the evidence that defendants sought to keep jurors from hearing. Judge …
