NIAGARA FALLS -- A New York jury has awarded $3.75 million to an 80-year old man suffering from mesothelioma. Reynolds, et al. v. Amchem Products Inc., et al., No. 11/7820 (N.Y. Sup. Ct., Niagara Cty.).
In a Nov. 5 verdict in the New York Supreme Court for Niagara County, a jury found against defendants Garlock Sealing Technologies Inc. and Niagara Insulations Inc, during a 10-day trial before Judge James B. Kane.
The jury found Garlock 60 percent liable and assessed Niagara Insulation Inc. the remaining 40 percent. Jurors awarded $2 million for future pain and suffering, $500,000 for past pain …
