Conn. Judge Denies, Awards Summary Judgment in Several Asbestos Cases

BRIDGEPORT, Conn. -- A Connecticut Superior Court judge has ruled on six summary judgment motions in pending asbestos cases, granting four motions after determining that the plaintiffs did not sufficiently prove the defendants' product was involved in the alleged asbestos exposure.
In six separate opinions issued Sept. 14, Judge Julia DiCocco Dewey also denied two of the motions after finding that the plaintiffs' testimony was sufficient to create a question of whether the defendants' products were a proximate cause of the injuries alleged.
