National Academies Seek Review of SV40-Cancer Link

photo-2 WASHINGTON. - An international panel of experts was expected to convene July 11 and 12 in Washington to examine the purported link between simian virus 40 (SV40) and cancer.
Seven experts were scheduled to report the results of recent research on the presence of SV40 in human cancers, including those believed to be linked to the virus that contaminated early stocks of polio vaccine.
