Combined Damages Verdicts of $12.1 Million Force Settlement in Bifurcated Asbestos Trial




PHILADELPHIA - Parties in two Pennsylvania asbestos trials settled after a jury awarded the estates of two paper company employees verdicts totaling more than $12 million in the damages phase of a reverse-bifurcated trial. Guila Andrews, executrix of the estate of Luke Andrews v. ACandS, et al., No. July 2001-482 (Pa. Comm. Pls., Philadelphia Cty.) and Paula Box, executrix of the estate of Larry Box v.
