Judge Rules on In Limine Motions Pertaining to 'Cancer,' TLVs




CHICAGO - A federal judge has ruled on several motions in limine filed in a pending wrongful death asbestos complaint, among them attempts by defendants to bar the general use of the terms cancer and carcinogenic and the plaintiff's motion to bar the introduction of evidence related the threshold limit values. Flood v. Owens-Illinois, et al., No. 86 C 8947 (N.D. Ill.).

In all, U.S. District Judge Charles P. Kocoras of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois issued rulings of 17 in limine motions filed by plaintiff Eunice Flood and defendants Flintkote Company and Owens-Illinois.
