GALVESTON, Texas - A defendant in the asbestos litigation has filed motions in state court in Texas seeking transfer of all asbestos cases to statewide and regional consolidated dockets. Pyle v. ACandS, Inc., et al., No. 01-CV1140 (Texas Dist. Ct., Galveston Cty.).
The motions seek the appointment of judges to oversee what Union Carbide Corp. calls meaningful pretrial coordination in asbestos cases pending statewide and in eight regions throughout Texas.
