Owens-Illinois Moves to Create Calif. Inactive Asbestos Docket

OAKLAND, Calif. - Responding to an apparent rash of X-ray screenings in the Bay Area, a defendant named in the asbestos litigation has filed a motion in state Superior Court seeking the creation of an inactive docket for all claims that do not meet certain medical criteria for asbestos-related injuries. In re: Complex Asbestos Litigation, No. 607734-9A (Calif. Super. Ct., Alameda Cty.).
