Company That Funds UNR Bankruptcy Trust Files Chapter 11 Petition

WILMINGTON, Del. - The chief financier of the UNR Asbestos-Disease Claims Trust has itself filed for Chapter 11 under the U.S. Bankruptcy Code. In Re: Rohn Industries, Inc., No. 03-17287 (D. Del., Bankr.).

Rohn Industries and several of the company's subsidiaries filed for reorganization on Sept. 16 in Delaware, claiming a shortfall of nearly $5 million. According to the bankruptcy petition, more than five percent of the company's voting securities are held by the UNR Asbestos-disease Claims Trust, which was created following the 1982 Chapter 11 filing of UNR Industries, Inc.
