NEW ORLEANS - A U.S. district court in Louisiana has dismissed an insurer's declaratory judgment action against a former insured, in which it sought declaratory relief that it owed neither a duty to defend nor indemnify defendant Lou-Con, Inc., because the plaintiff insurer had failed to show that the amount in controversy exceeded the jurisdictional amount of $75,000. The Hartford Insurance Group v. Lou-Con, Inc., No. 01-3689 (E.D. La.).
