AUSTIN, Texas - After failing during the regular session, a bill aimed at limiting the type of asbestos claims that can be filed in Texas has been re-introduced in a special session of the State Legislature and now includes a provision to place limitations on both asbestos and silica claims. photo-6 The redrafted and reconfigured version of the asbestos bill, which never made it to the Senate floor during the regular session, was introduced into the Legislature's special session on July 2 and made it easily through the House and Senate committees.
