Jury Returns Verdict for Pneumo Abex in Mesothelioma Case




ST. LOUIS, Mo. - A state court jury has found for defendant Pneumo Abex Corp. in a case filed by a 39-year-old man who alleged that his mesothelioma was caused by childhood exposure to asbestos-containing brakes. Ward v. Allied Signal, Inc., et al., No. 022 01404 (Mo. Cir., St. Louis Cty.).

The St. Louis City Circuit Court jury returned the verdict July 15, refusing to award the more than $20 million in compensatory damages and unspecified punitive damages sought by plaintiff Donald Ward.
