Supreme Court Denies Motion to Rehear Reversal of Amchem Product ID Judgment




PHILADELPHIA - A state Supreme Court has refused to review a decision overturning an award of summary judgment to the manufacturer of an asbestos-containing sealant identified by former pipefitters as the product that allegedly caused his co-worker's mesothelioma. Harahan v. AC&S, Inc., et al., No. 103 EAL 2003 (Pa. Sup. Ct.).

In a July 1 order, the Pennsylvania Supreme Court denied Amchem Products, Inc.'s petition for allowance to appeal a State Superior Court ruling that reversed a trial court's award of summary judgment to the defendant based on lack of product identification.
