(2) Defense Production Act
The Defense Production Act of 1950, Title III, 50 U.S.C. App. § 2091, et seq. (the "Act"), was enacted to support mobilization of economic resources in response to the Korean War. Pursuant to the Act, the government expedited expansion of industrial capacity for defense materials and equipment. By 1974, the Act had fallen into disuse and its revolving fund was insolvent.
