Brown & Root Not Liable for Alleged Asbestos-Related Death

BEAUMONT, Texas - A jury in Texas has found that asbestos defendant Brown & Root was not to blame for the alleged asbestos-related death of one of its employees. Meekins v. Brown & Root, No. 158369 (Texas Dist. Ct., 172nd Dist. Jefferson Cty.).
The Jefferson County jury reached its determination Jan. 17, finding no gross negligence on the part of Brown & Root, which had been blamed for causing the death of Russell Meekins.
