Public Entity That Leased Facility at Dock Terminal Not Liable for Asbestos Injury, Court Holds




NEW ORLEANS - A state entity that owned a discharge terminal where a former dock worker claimed he was exposed to asbestos should not be held liable for an alleged failure to protect him from injuries sustained as a result of the exposure, a state appeals court has ruled. Faulkner v. The McCarty Corporation, et al., No. 2002-CA-1337 (La. Ct. App., Fourth Cir.).
