Court Affirms Special Verdict Awarded to Asbestos Friction Defendants

SAN FRANCISCO - A state appeals court has upheld a special verdict to five friction product manufacturers sued by a former garage worker who claimed his exposure to asbestos-containing brakes caused a lung condition that experts testifying on his behalf identified as an early stage of mesothelioma. Reyes, et al. v. Ford Motor Co., et al., No. A095207 (Calif. App. Ct., First Dist.).
