Court Affirms Special Verdict Awarded to Asbestos Friction Defendants

SAN FRANCISCO - A state appeals court has upheld a special verdict to five friction product manufacturers sued by a former garage worker who claimed his exposure to asbestos-containing brakes caused a lung condition that experts testifying on his behalf identified as an early stage of mesothelioma.
