NEW BRUNSWICK, N.J. –– The Plaintiffs’ Steering Committee has sent a letter to the federal court overseeing the national multidistrict litigation docket for talcum powder claims, alerting the MDL judge to Johnson & Johnson’s recent recall of a single lot of baby powder as a result of positive asbestos testing.

In the Oct. 18 letter sent to Hon. Freda L. Wolfson of the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey, the PSC stated that it wished to bring the development to the court’s attention and “inform the Court of its efforts to obtain additional information.”
